Ingredients

  • 3 cups sugar
  • 3 cups Red Band plain flour
  • 2 sticks margarine
  • 1/2 cup Crisco
  • 5 large eggs
  • 1 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 teaspoon butter flavoring
  • 1 teaspoon lemon flavoring

Instructions

  1. Cream sugar, margarine, and Crisco together until smooth and fluffy.
  2. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  3. Alternate adding flour and evaporated milk, mixing after each addition.
  4. Add butter flavoring and lemon flavoring and mix thoroughly.
  5. Pour batter into a prepared baking pan and bake at 350°F for 90 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
