Ingredients

  • 2 cups self-rising flour
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 cups finely chopped Vidalia onions

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients, except onions, in a bowl; the batter will be thin.
  2. Stir in the finely chopped Vidalia onions, mixing well.
  3. Pour the batter into a well-greased iron skillet.
  4. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30 minutes until golden and cooked through.
