Ingredients

  • 2 c. white sugar
  • 1/8 tsp. cream of tartar
  • dash of salt
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/2 c. vinegar

Instructions

  1. Boil the sugar, cream of tartar, salt, and vinegar together until it crackles.
  2. Pour the hot mixture into a buttered pan to cool until it is firm enough to handle.
  3. Pull the cooled mixture until it becomes porous, then twist and place in the pan to set.
  4. Once set, chop into pieces and serve.
