Ingredients

  • 1 c. corn syrup
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. melted margarine
  • 1 c. pecans
  • 1 unbaked 9-inch pie shell

Instructions

  1. Mix the corn syrup, eggs, salt, vanilla, sugar, and melted margarine together in a bowl.
  2. Add the pecans to the mixture and stir to combine.
  3. Pour the filling into the unbaked 9-inch pie shell.
  4. Bake at 400°F for 15 minutes.
  5. Reduce the oven temperature to 350°F and continue baking for 30 to 35 minutes until the filling is set around the edges and slightly soft in the center.
  6. Allow the pie to cool before serving. Serve plain or topped with whipped cream or ice cream.
