Ingredients

  • 12 oz vanilla wafers
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 sticks margarine
  • 1 cup pecans
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 can flaked coconut
  • 6 eggs

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a tube pan.
  2. Grind the vanilla wafers into crumbs.
  3. Cream the margarine and sugar together until light and fluffy.
  4. Add 6 eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  5. Mix in the milk and vanilla wafer crumbs.
  6. Fold in the pecans and flaked coconut.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared tube pan.
  8. Bake for about 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  9. Allow the cake to cool before removing from the pan.
