Ingredients

  • 2 (3 oz.) packages strawberry gelatin
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 1 1/2 cups cold water
  • 1 cup chopped apple
  • 1/2 cup thinly sliced celery
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts

Instructions

  1. Dissolve strawberry gelatin in boiling water.
  2. Add cold water and chill until partially set.
  3. Fold in chopped apples, sliced celery, and chopped walnuts.
  4. Pour mixture into a 4 1/2 cup ring mold.
  5. Chill until the gelatin is firm.
  6. Unmold the salad and surround with lettuce.
  7. Fill the center with additional garnishes or serve as is.
