Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup margarine, softened
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 8 oz. package cream cheese, softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 16 oz. box powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly spray a 9x13-inch baking pan.
  2. Mix margarine, yellow cake mix, and egg until well combined. Spread the mixture evenly in the prepared pan.
  3. Sprinkle chopped pecans and chocolate chips over the cake mixture.
  4. In a separate bowl, blend softened cream cheese, eggs, and powdered sugar until smooth.
  5. Pour the cream cheese mixture over the top of the layered ingredients.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 to 35 minutes, until set and lightly golden.
  7. Allow to cool completely before cutting into squares. Serve and enjoy.
