Wendy'S Loaded Chilli
Ingredients
- Step One
- 1 large onion, coarsely chopped ⓘ
- 3 celery stalks, coarsely chopped
- 2 cloves minced garlic ⓘ
- 2T olive oil ⓘ
- 3c button mushrooms , halved ⓘ
- Step Two
- 1 lb extra lean ground meat ⓘ
- Step Three
- 1 large can diced tomatoes
- 1 large can tomato sauce ⓘ
- 1 large can tomato paste ⓘ
- 1 c. shredded carrots ⓘ
- 1 can red kidney beans, drained, well washed ⓘ
- 1 can mixed (or your favorite) beans, drained, well washed ⓘ
- 1/2 c crushed arame, wakame, or favorite sea vegetable ⓘ
- Step Four (These measurements range from mild to suicide... You decide)
- 1-2 T salt or salt substitute/ Herbamare
- 1tsp black pepper
- 3-5 T chilli power ⓘ
Instructions
- In large fry pan:
- Saute' all ingredients from Step One
- Add in and brown ground meat
- In extra large crock pot, combine:
- -all ingredients from step three
- -the saute'd mixture
- -listed spices of choice
- Cook on high for 2 hours.
- Add zuccini
- Check by taste for desired spiciness.
- Cook for another 2 hours (or more) on low.
- Serve with grated cheese, and crusty buns or toasted cheese bread
