- Mix sugar, oil, and eggs thoroughly with a mixer.
- Dissolve salt, baking powder, vanilla, and soda in buttermilk.
- Add the buttermilk mixture to the sugar, oil, and egg mixture and blend well.
- Add 6 cups of all-purpose flour and mix until smooth.
- Use a 1/4 cup measure to portion the dough onto baking sheets, placing 6 cookies per sheet.
- Sprinkle each cookie with sugar before baking.
- Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 6 minutes until golden.
