White Potato Cake

Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. butter or oleo
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 1/2 c. milk
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 c. cocoa
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp. cloves
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 2 c. flour
  • 3 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 c. mashed potatoes
  • 1 c. chopped nuts

Instructions

  1. Cream butter, sugar and eggs.
  2. Add vanilla, potatoes and cocoa.
  3. Add dry ingredients slowly with milk.
  4. Add flour and nuts last.
  5. Bake in floured pan, using butter or oleo to grease pan. Bake in 350° oven for 50 minutes.
