Whole Wheat Walnut Bread (Bread Machine)

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pound loaf
  • 1 1/4 cups water
  • 1/4 cup nonfat dry milk powder
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons salt
  • 2 tablespoons liquid honey
  • 2 tablespoons packed brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3/4 cup whole wheat flour
  • 2 1/4 cups bread flour
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 teaspoon bread machine yeast or 1 teaspoon instant yeast

Instructions

  1. Measure ingredients into baking pan in the order recommended by the manufacturer.
  2. Insert pan into the oven chamber.
  3. Select Whole Wheat Cycle.
  4. When the baking cycle ends, immediately remove the bread from the pan and place it on a wire rack.
  5. Let cool to room temperature before slicing.
