Instructions

  1. Soak the wild duck in water containing a handful of soda for one day.
  2. Drain the duck and wash.
  3. Soak again overnight in water with one cup of vinegar.
  4. Drain and wash.
  5. Put 1/4 cup oil in a large Dutch oven and brown the duck all over.
  6. Chop 2 onions and plenty of cubed turnips.
  7. Cover all with water and add the chopped onions and turnips to the Dutch oven.
  8. Cook until all ingredients are stewed down.
  9. Serve over rice.
