Ingredients

  • 1 beef roast
  • 1 pkg. onion soup mix
  • 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 clove garlic (optional)
  • salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Place the beef roast in a 9 x 13-inch pan.
  2. Cut slots in the roast and insert chopped fresh garlic if using.
  3. Pour cream of mushroom soup over the roast.
  4. Sprinkle Worcestershire sauce over the soup.
  5. Sprinkle dry onion soup mix evenly over everything.
  6. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Cover the pan tightly with foil.
  8. Bake in a preheated oven at 250°F from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., approximately 10 hours.
  9. Remove from oven when done; serve hot with gravy.
