Ingredients

  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup white corn syrup
  • 1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 cups pecans

Instructions

  1. Cook the mixture slowly until a soft ball forms at 240° on a candy thermometer.
  2. Add vanilla and pecans to the caramel mixture.
  3. Pour into a buttered pan; let cool and then cut into 3/4-inch squares.
  4. Wrap each square in wax paper for storage or gifting.
