Yams On The Half Shell
Creamy baked yams with a hint of orange marmalade and nutmeg, topped with nuts for added crunch—perfect as a comforting side dish for special occasions or family dinners.

- Bake yams at 375°F (190°C) for about 45 minutes until tender.
- Slice off the top third of each yam and scoop out the flesh into a bowl.
- Add 1 1/2 teaspoons of salt, 1 teaspoon of nutmeg, 1/2 cup of orange marmalade, and 2 tablespoons of butter to the yam flesh.
- Whip the mixture with a beater until smooth and well combined.
- Reassemble the yam shells with the whipped mixture and place them on a baking dish.
- Bake for 15 minutes, then during the last 5 minutes, drizzle with the remaining orange marmalade and sprinkle chopped nuts if desired.
