Ingredients

  • 1 c. sugar
  • a pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg
  • all-purpose flour
  • 6 egg yolks
  • 6 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 c. milk

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients except flour; beat well.
  2. Add enough flour (all-purpose) to make a soft dough.
  3. Roll the dough to 1/2-inch thickness.
  4. Cut out donuts from the dough.
  5. Fry the donuts in hot grease until golden brown.
