Soft, fluffy yogurt yeast rolls with a hint of sweetness, perfect for breakfast or alongside meals. They are easy to make and delightfully tender with a rich flavor.

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup oil
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 (18 oz.) carton plain yogurt
  • 2 pkg. yeast
  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • 1 egg
  • 1 egg white
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Mix oil, sugar, and yogurt in a bowl and set aside.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water and let stand for 5 minutes.
  3. Stir the yogurt mixture into the yeast mixture.
  4. Beat in 2 cups of flour until smooth.
  5. Add more flour gradually until beaters are heavy.
  6. Remove beaters and stir in flour with a fork until the dough can be handled.
  7. Knead the dough until smooth and shiny.
  8. Divide the dough into two parts.
  9. Spray inside plastic storage bags with butter-flavored Pam spray.
  10. Place the dough in the refrigerator for 8 hours or longer.
  11. Punch down the dough and shape into rolls or crescent rolls.
  12. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10 to 12 minutes.
