Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 1/3 c. quick oats
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 3 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 c. butter or oleo, melted
  • 12 oz. chocolate chips
  • 1 (2 oz.) jar caramel topping (ice cream topping)

Instructions

  1. Combine flour, 1 1/2 cup oats, sugar, soda, salt and melted oleo.
  2. Blend to form crumbs.
  3. Press 1/2 crumbs into 9 x 13-inch pan.
  4. Bake at 350° for 10 minutes.
  5. Remove from oven and sprinkle chocolate chips and 1/2 cup chopped pecans over this.
  6. Mix 3 tablespoons flour with caramel topping; pour over mixture. Sprinkle with remaining crumbs and pecans.
  7. Bake at 350° for 20 to 25 minutes.
  8. This will set as it sits.
