Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb ground chuck
  • 3/4 cup oatmeal
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 3 small onions, chopped
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup catsup
  • 1/4 cup vinegar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 4 tbsp brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Combine ground chuck, oatmeal, milk, two of the chopped onions, and salt in a bowl.
  2. Form the mixture into meatballs.
  3. Roll the meatballs in flour and brown them.
  4. Place the browned meatballs into a casserole dish.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix ketchup, vinegar, water, brown sugar, and the remaining chopped onion to make the sauce.
  6. Pour the sauce over the meatballs.
  7. Bake uncovered at 350°F (175°C) for 1 hour.
