Zippy Shrimp Spread

A zesty, creamy shrimp spread with bold flavors of ketchup, horseradish, and Worcestershire, perfect for appetizers or spreading on crackers and bread for any gathering.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups water
  • 1 pound unpeeled medium fresh shrimp
  • 2 (3 oz.) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1/3 cup catsup
  • 1 teaspoon horseradish
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Bring water to a boil in a large pot.
  2. Add the shrimp to the boiling water.
  3. Cook the shrimp for 3 to 5 minutes until they turn pink and are cooked through.
  4. Drain the shrimp and rinse with cold water to cool.
  5. Chill the shrimp in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes.
  6. Peel and devein the shrimp.
  7. Set 3 peeled shrimp aside for garnish.
  8. Coarsely chop the remaining shrimp.
