Ingredients

  • 4 cups flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups margarine
  • 6 to 8 cups sliced, peeled and seeded zucchini
  • 2/3 cup lemon juice
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Mix flour, sugar, and salt in a bowl.
  2. Cut in margarine until the mixture resembles crumbs.
  3. Reserve 1/2 cup of the dough mixture and set aside.
  4. Combine sliced, peeled, and seeded zucchini with lemon juice, sugar, and nutmeg.
  5. Spread the zucchini mixture over the prepared dough in a baking dish.
  6. Sprinkle the reserved dough over the top.
  7. Bake until golden and cooked through.
