Ingredients

  • 10 eggs
  • 3 cups plain flour
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 2 cups butter Crisco
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon coconut flavoring
  • 1/4 cup evaporated milk

Instructions

  1. Cream sugar and Crisco together until light and fluffy.
  2. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  3. Gradually add flour and evaporated milk, alternating between them, and mix well.
  4. Stir in vanilla and coconut flavoring.
  5. Pour batter into a large greased tube pan.
  6. Bake at 300°F (150°C) for about 2 hours or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. For a smaller loaf, reduce baking time to approximately 1.5 hours.
