Ingredients

  • 1 c. sugar
  • 3 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 4 Tbsp. flour
  • pinch of salt
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. hot (very hot) water

Instructions

  1. Blend together sugar, cocoa, flour, and salt.
  2. Mix together egg yolks in milk and vanilla.
  3. Add hot water to dry ingredients, mixing well.
  4. Then add the egg yolk mixture to the dry ingredients.
  5. Cook for 10 minutes or until mixture thickens, stirring constantly.
  6. Top with egg white meringue or Cool Whip before serving.
