Soft, buttery yeast rolls with a slightly sweet flavor, perfect for breakfast or dinner. Their fluffy texture and warm aroma make them a family favorite.

Ingredients

  • 2 pkg. yeast
  • 1 c. margarine
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 7 c. all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp. salt

Instructions

  1. Combine flour and salt in a bowl.
  2. Set aside.
  3. Dissolve yeast in 1/4 cup warm water and set aside.
  4. Melt margarine in 1 cup boiling water, then add sugar, 1 cup cold water, and beaten eggs. Mix well.
  5. Stir in the dissolved yeast and margarine mixture.
  6. Add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and mix well.
  7. Wrap the dough and refrigerate for up to 3 days.
  8. Pinch off small portions of dough and place in a baking dish.
  9. Bake at 425°F until lightly browned.
  10. Brush the baked rolls with butter before serving.
