Ingredients

  • 1 box lasagna noodles
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 lb. Italian sausage
  • 1 1/2 lb. mozzarella cheese slices
  • 2 (16 oz.) tubs ricotta cheese
  • 2 medium jars spaghetti sauce
  • 1 can Italian bread crumbs

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Mix ground beef with Italian bread crumbs.
  3. Shape the mixture into meatballs and brown them in a skillet.
  4. Brown the Italian sausage in the skillet.
  5. Slice the cooked meatballs and sausage.
  6. Boil the lasagna noodles for about 15 to 20 minutes.
  7. Cover the bottom of a 9 x 13-inch pan with spaghetti sauce.
  8. Layer cooked noodles over the sauce.
  9. Spread ricotta cheese over the noodles.
  10. Distribute sliced meatballs and sausage over the ricotta layer.
  11. Pour more spaghetti sauce over the meats.
  12. Place sliced mozzarella cheese over the sauce.
  13. Repeat layers until the pan is full, ending with noodles, mozzarella, then sauce on top.
  14. Bake for 45 minutes.
  15. Let the lasagna cool for 15 to 20 minutes before serving.
