- Building from the bottom of a covered tall casserole dish (2 1/2-quarts), spread in layers: 2 cubed raw potatoes (1/4-inch cubes), 2 diced raw carrots, diced celery (enough to cover the layer), a small can of drained peas, 1 1/2 tablespoons of Minute rice (cover peas), and 1/2 pound of raw ground chuck.
- Pat down; add 1 cup of tomato soup.
- Add another 1/2 pound of ground chuck as the final layer.
- Bake at 350° for 1 1/2 hours covered.
