Ingredients

  • 1 large head lettuce
  • 1 green pepper, diced
  • 1 small red onion, diced
  • 1 cup celery, diced
  • 10 oz frozen peas
  • 1/2 lb bacon
  • 2 Tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 lb grated Cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups salad dressing

Instructions

  1. Place the lettuce, green pepper, red onion, celery, and frozen peas in a large salad bowl.
  2. Layer them; do not mix them together.
  3. Spread over 2 cups salad dressing to seal in the 5 ingredients.
  4. Sprinkle 2 tablespoons sugar over the salad dressing.
  5. Fry 1/2 pound bacon until very crisp, then cool, crumble, and sprinkle over the top.
  6. Sprinkle 1/2 pound grated Cheddar cheese on top.
  7. Cover and chill for 8 hours.
