Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 to 3 lb. hamburger meat
  • 1 onion
  • dash of garlic
  • salt to taste
  • sprinkle of oregano
  • 2 to 3 Tbsp. rice
  • 1 can stewed tomatoes

Instructions

  1. Mix hamburger meat with rice and form into small balls.
  2. Saute sliced onion in margarine until translucent.
  3. Add stewed tomatoes, garlic, salt, and oregano to the pan.
  4. Pour in water and bring to a boil.
  5. Drop the meatballs into the boiling tomato mixture.
  6. Cover and simmer until the meatballs are cooked through.
