Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups milk
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2/3 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup slivered almonds
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • butter (for greasing)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Place milk, sugar, eggs, vanilla, flour, almonds, almond extract, and brown sugar in a food processor.
  3. Pulse 5 to 10 seconds at a time, stopping to scrape sides of the bowl until the mixture is blended but not overprocessed.
  4. Pour batter into a lightly greased 9-inch baking dish or pie plate.
  5. Bake for 30 minutes until fluffy and brown.
  6. Check with a knife; it should come out clean.
  7. Sprinkle with brown sugar and cool slightly before serving.
