Aloha Chicken features tender chicken glazed with a sweet and tangy pineapple sauce, combining flavors of pineapple, soy, and spices, perfect for casual gatherings and family dinners.

Ingredients

  • 4-5 chicken breasts or 25 chicken wings
  • 3 T. cider vinegar
  • 2 T. garlic salt
  • 1 T. onion powder
  • 1 t. ground ginger
  • 1 t. paprika
  • 1 can crushed pineapple (20 oz.)
  • 1/4 c. brown sugar
  • 1/4 c. soy sauce
  • 1 c. ketchup

Instructions

  1. Combine cider vinegar, garlic salt, onion powder, ground ginger, and paprika to make a baste.
  2. Brush the baste over the chicken breasts or wings.
  3. Bake the chicken for 30 minutes.
  4. Turn the chicken once during baking. (You may grill the chicken if desired.)
  5. Combine crushed pineapple and juice with ketchup, brown sugar, and soy sauce to make the sauce.
  6. Spoon the sauce over the chicken.
  7. Continue baking or grilling for 15 more minutes.
  8. Turn the chicken, spoon on more sauce, and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until done.
