Angel Cream Cake

A light and fluffy angel cream cake layered with creamy topping, topped with toasted almonds and cherries, perfect for celebrations or special gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 2 pkg. dessert topping mix
  • 1 c. powdered sugar
  • slivered toasted almonds
  • 1 baked angel food cake
  • 1 c. cold milk
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
  • slivered maraschino cherries
  • 8 or 10 stemmed cherries

Instructions

  1. Combine dessert topping mix and cold milk; beat well until smooth.
  2. Add powdered sugar and cream cheese; beat until well blended.
  3. Cut the baked angel food cake into 3 layers.
  4. Place one cake layer on a serving plate and spread with a layer of the topping mixture.
  5. Repeat the layering process with the remaining cake layers and topping.
  6. Frost the top and sides of the assembled cake with the remaining topping.
  7. Sprinkle with slivered toasted almonds and decorate with slivered maraschino cherries and stemmed cherries.
  8. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
