Instructions
- Combine dessert topping mix and cold milk; beat well until smooth.
- Add powdered sugar and cream cheese; beat until well blended.
- Cut the baked angel food cake into 3 layers.
- Place one cake layer on a serving plate and spread with a layer of the topping mixture.
- Repeat the layering process with the remaining cake layers and topping.
- Frost the top and sides of the assembled cake with the remaining topping.
- Sprinkle with slivered toasted almonds and decorate with slivered maraschino cherries and stemmed cherries.
- Refrigerate until ready to serve.
