Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 lb. pork sausage
  • 1 lb. Velveeta, cut into cubes
  • 1 Tbsp. oregano
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • party rye bread

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef and pork sausage together in a skillet.
  2. Drain excess fat from the meat mixture.
  3. Add Velveeta cubes, oregano, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic powder to the meat.
  4. Mix until the cheese is melted and ingredients are well combined.
  5. Spread the mixture on party rye bread slices.
  6. Optionally, freeze the prepared appetizers on a cookie sheet, then transfer to plastic bags for storage.
  7. When ready to serve, heat under a broiler until hot.
