Ingredients

  • 1 c. sugar
  • 2 beaten eggs
  • 1 c. sifted flour
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 2 big diced apples
  • 1/4 c. Crisco
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1/3 c. nutmeg
  • 1/2 c. nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cream together sugar and Crisco.
  2. Add the beaten eggs, sifted flour, cinnamon, salt, soda, nutmeg, and diced apples and nuts if using.
  3. Pour the mixture into a greased 9 x 9-inch pan.
  4. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 45 minutes.
