Ingredients

  • 6 eggs
  • 1 1/3 cups milk
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3 tablespoons sugar or honey
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 pound butter or margarine
  • 3 to 4 apples, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons brown sugar or maple syrup

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a blender, mix eggs, milk, flour, sugar, vanilla, salt, and cinnamon until smooth.
  3. Melt butter in a 12-inch quiche dish or a 13 x 9-inch baking dish in the oven.
  4. Add apple slices to the baking dish with melted butter.
  5. Return to oven until the butter sizzles; do not let it brown.
  6. Remove the baking dish from the oven and immediately pour the batter over the apples.
  7. Sprinkle with brown sugar or maple syrup.
  8. Bake in the middle of the oven for 20 minutes or until puffed and brown.
