Apple Streusel Coffee Bread

- Thaw frozen bread dough according to package directions. 20-30 minutes.
- Divide dough in half and let rest 10 minutes.
- On a floured surface roll each dough half into an 8"×8" square.
- Spread each square with 1 tablespoon of softened butter.
- Arrange half the apples down the center of each dough square.
- Combine brown sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle over apples.
- Cut toward the filling, making 2"-long cuts in the dough at 1" intervals on both sides of the apples.
- Fold the strips alternately over the apples and then fold under the ends of the loaf to seal.
- Place the loaves on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
