Ingredients

  • unsweetened applesauce

Instructions

  1. Mix the oil, sweet milk, applesauce, vanilla, and water in a bowl.
  2. In another bowl, sift the flour, cinnamon, cloves, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add 1 cup raisins to the dry ingredients and mix well.
  4. Add about half of the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and combine.
  5. Add 1/2 cup sweet milk to the mixture.
  6. Add the remaining dry ingredients and mix well.
  7. Pour the batter into a greased and floured 9 x 16-inch Pyrex baking dish.
  8. Bake in a preheated 350°F (175°C) oven for 25 to 30 minutes.
