Ingredients

  • 4 strips bacon, chopped
  • 1 can beef consomme
  • 1/2 stick butter
  • 1 can water
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 cup raw regular rice

Instructions

  1. Fry the chopped bacon pieces until crisp.
  2. Add butter and sauté the chopped onion until golden brown.
  3. Add the rice and sauté for 3 minutes.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a 2-quart casserole dish.
  5. Pour in the beef consomme and water.
  6. Cover and bake at 350°F for 1 hour.
