Aromatic Beef Stew

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp canola oil
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 None onion, peeled and finely diced
  • 1 clove garlic, peeled and minced
  • 1 oz fresh ginger, peeled and grated
  • 1-2 None red chilies, sliced
  • 3 None bouillon cubes, crushed
  • 1 None leek, sliced
  • 1 lb carrots, peeled and grated
  • 1/3 lb bean sprouts

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a Dutch oven and brown ground meat for 5 mins, until crumbly. Add onion, garlic, ginger and chilies and saute for 2 mins. Season with salt. Add 4 cups water, bring to a boil and add crushed bouillon cubes. Add leek, carrots and bean sprouts and boil for 3 mins. Add soy sauce and five-spice powder. Serve.
