Asian Chicken features tender fried chicken glazed in a tangy honey, garlic, soy, and vinegar sauce, perfect for those craving bold flavors and quick, satisfying meals.

Ingredients

  • 3 1/2 lb. frying chicken, cut up
  • 1 bulb fresh garlic, peeled and coarsely chopped
  • 3/4 cup distilled white vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 3 tablespoons peanut oil
  • 2 small dried hot red peppers
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce

Instructions

  1. Heat peanut oil in a large heavy skillet and brown the chicken on all sides.
  2. When the chicken is almost done, add the peeled, coarsely chopped garlic and dried hot red peppers to the skillet.
  3. Add the distilled white vinegar, honey, soy sauce, and continue cooking over medium-high heat until the chicken is cooked through and the sauce has reduced somewhat.
  4. Cook for less than 10 minutes, watching carefully to prevent burning or boiling away the sauce.
  5. Ensure there is a quantity of sauce left to serve with the chicken, which should appear slightly glazed.
  6. Serve hot with cooked rice.
