A crunchy Asian-inspired salad featuring shredded cabbage, toasted noodles, almonds, and a tangy dressing, perfect for gatherings or a refreshing side dish.

Ingredients

  • 2 pkg. Ramen Noodles (crushed)
  • 1 c. Slivered Almonds
  • 2 tsp. Sesame Seeds
  • 1/2 c. Butter
  • 1/2 c. Sugar
  • 1 head of Cabbage (shredded)
  • 3/4 c. Vegetable Oil
  • 2 Tbsp. Soy Sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. Vinegar

Instructions

  1. Over low heat, brown crushed ramen noodles, slivered almonds, and sesame seeds with butter.
  2. Once browned, remove from heat and allow to cool.
  3. In a small saucepan, bring vegetable oil, sugar, and vinegar to a boil for 1 minute. Remove from heat and let cool.
  4. Add soy sauce to the cooled mixture.
  5. In a large bowl, combine shredded cabbage and sliced green onions.
  6. Add the toasted noodle mixture and the soy sauce dressing to the cabbage and green onions.
  7. Toss everything to coat evenly and serve.
