Ingredients

  • 8 boneless chicken breasts
  • 1 stick butter
  • 2 cans cream of asparagus soup
  • 1 pint sour cream
  • 1 (13 oz.) can mushroom pieces
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Brown the chicken breasts in butter, then place them in a 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
  2. Mix the cream of asparagus soup, sour cream, and mushroom pieces; pour one-quarter of this mixture over the chicken breasts.
  3. Make a layer of asparagus spears over the chicken and sauce.
  4. Sprinkle half of the Parmesan cheese over the asparagus layer.
  5. Add the remaining soup mixture over the cheese layer.
  6. Cover with the remaining Parmesan cheese.
  7. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 1 hour, uncovered.
