Ingredients

  • 2 large (40 oz.) cans butter beans
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 2 tablespoons mustard
  • 16 oz. ketchup
  • 1 onion
  • 1 lb. bacon

Instructions

  1. Mix the butter beans, sugar, mustard, and ketchup in a baking pan.
  2. Cook the bacon in a frying pan until crispy.
  3. Crumble the cooked bacon and add it to the bean mixture along with the bacon grease.
  4. Lay remaining bacon strips on top of the beans.
  5. Place the onion in the middle of the pan.
  6. Bake uncovered at 350°F for 2 hours.
