Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup sifted flour
  • 3/4 cup yellow cornmeal
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoon oil

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine sifted flour, yellow cornmeal, baking powder, sugar, salt, and bacon.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together the beaten egg, milk, and oil.
  3. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  4. Pour the batter into a greased baking pan.
  5. Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 30 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
