Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. breakfast bacon
  • 12 slices sandwich bread
  • 9 medium eggs
  • 2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 2 1/4 c. milk
  • 1/4 tsp. black pepper
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. yellow mustard

Instructions

  1. Fry the bacon until crispy, then drain and break into small pieces.
  2. Cube the sandwich bread.
  3. Layer the bread cubes, shredded Cheddar cheese, and bacon in a lightly buttered 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
  4. In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, black pepper, salt, and yellow mustard.
  5. Pour the egg mixture evenly over the layered bread, cheese, and bacon.
  6. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 45 minutes, until set and golden on top.
