Ingredients

  • 8 lb. dry beans
  • 2 lb. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. red pepper
  • 1 tsp. dry mustard
  • 18 oz. bottle catsup
  • 2 lb. salt pork or bacon ends
  • 7 1/2 qt. tomato juice
  • 2 Tbsp. minced onion

Instructions

  1. Soak beans overnight; drain.
  2. Cook beans until tender and drain.
  3. Mix all the other ingredients together; pour over beans.
  4. Mix well.
  5. Put into jars and cold pack for 3 hours.
