Ingredients

  • 1 slice smoked ham (1-inch thick)
  • 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • apples
  • 1/2 cup sugar

Instructions

  1. Mix dry mustard, pepper, and brown sugar.
  2. Rub the mixture over the ham slice and place it in a baking dish.
  3. Core the apples and cut them into 1/2-inch slices.
  4. Cover the ham thickly with the apple slices.
  5. Sprinkle the apples with sugar.
  6. Pour water into the bottom of the pan.
  7. Cover the pan with a lid or foil.
  8. Bake at 350°F for 1 hour.
  9. Uncover and let the top brown.
