A savory baked potato and bacon dish with onions and green onions, perfect for a hearty breakfast or comforting side, packed with smoky, salty flavors.

Ingredients

  • 4 to 5 medium potatoes, sliced thin
  • several slices bacon
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1/2 onion, sliced thin
  • 1 chopped green onion
  • seasoned salt to taste
  • pepper to taste
  • garlic powder to taste

Instructions

  1. Oil a large flat cookie sheet.
  2. Place sliced potatoes on the sheet, then layer onion rings on top.
  3. Sprinkle with chopped green onions.
  4. Layer bacon strips over the top.
  5. Pour water on the sheet.
  6. Sprinkle with seasoned salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  7. Cover with foil and bake at 325°F for 10 to 15 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
  8. Remove foil during the last 2 to 3 minutes of baking.
