Ingredients

  • 6 slices of bacon
  • 1 onion
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 2 cups French cut green beans

Instructions

  1. Diced and brown the bacon slices in a skillet.
  2. Add diced onion to the bacon and cook until softened.
  3. Combine the browned bacon, onion, salt, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, and ketchup in a saucepan.
  4. Simmer the mixture for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Let the sauce stand for one hour to develop flavor.
  6. Drain the French cut green beans and add them to the sauce.
  7. Heat the beans with the sauce until thoroughly warmed.
  8. Serve and enjoy.
