Baked Potato Fans are a visually appealing side dish featuring tender potatoes with crispy, cheesy toppings, perfect for family dinners or special gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 4 medium baking potatoes
  • 1/4 cup melted butter or margarine
  • garlic salt
  • pepper
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons dry bread crumbs
  • paprika

Instructions

  1. Cut the potatoes crosswise into 1/8-inch slices, cutting only three-quarters through each potato.
  2. Place the cut potatoes, cut side up, in a greased 11 x 7 x 1 1/2-inch baking dish.
  3. Brush the potatoes with melted butter or margarine, then sprinkle with garlic salt and pepper.
  4. Bake in a 375°F oven for 45 minutes, brushing with butter once or twice during baking.
  5. Mix grated Parmesan cheese with dry bread crumbs, then sprinkle on top of the baked potatoes.
  6. Sprinkle paprika over the cheese and bread crumb mixture.
  7. Bake for an additional 20 to 30 minutes until the potatoes are tender and topping is golden.
