Instructions
- Cut the potatoes crosswise into 1/8-inch slices, cutting only three-quarters through each potato.
- Place the cut potatoes, cut side up, in a greased 11 x 7 x 1 1/2-inch baking dish.
- Brush the potatoes with melted butter or margarine, then sprinkle with garlic salt and pepper.
- Bake in a 375°F oven for 45 minutes, brushing with butter once or twice during baking.
- Mix grated Parmesan cheese with dry bread crumbs, then sprinkle on top of the baked potatoes.
- Sprinkle paprika over the cheese and bread crumb mixture.
- Bake for an additional 20 to 30 minutes until the potatoes are tender and topping is golden.
