Ingredients

  • 2 lb. round steak
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 2 onions
  • 1 (1 lb.) can tomatoes
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste
  • 1/3 cup flour

Instructions

  1. Trim fat from steak and cut into serving size pieces.
  2. Heat oil in skillet and brown the steak pieces.
  3. Season the steak with 1 1/2 teaspoons salt and 1/8 teaspoon pepper.
  4. Arrange the steak in a single layer in a baking dish.
  5. Cover the steak with sliced onions.
  6. In the skillet, heat the canned tomatoes; add Worcestershire sauce and season to taste.
  7. Pour the tomato mixture over the steak.
  8. Cover the dish and bake at 350°F for 2 to 2 1/2 hours or until the steak is tender.
